GHDL roadmap

The current roadmap will not be strictly followed. These are only main directions. If you have features to be added in GHDL, please send an email to ghdl AT free DOT fr.

The NEWS file contains notes about GHDL releases.

The "Sokcho" edition (until version 1.0)

• Full implementation of VHDL87,93,2000 and 2002.
• Bug fixes.

The "Puyeo" edition (until version 2.0)

• Waveform viewer for any VHDL types.
• Debugger (maybe based on gdb).
• Optimization: faster simulation, allows bigger designs.
• PSL (Property Specification Language).
• To be defined ...

The ?? edition (until version 3.0)

• VHPI (?)
• AMS-VHDL (maybe later).
• To be defined ...
